     Play Date is a child care facility that provides flexibility and accommodations for parents while at the same time promoting sensory and motor learning for children.  We have various centers that address the cognitive, social, and physical development of children 12 months to 12 years of age.  Some of the structured child-directed activities in our center include music, role play, crafts, stories, and indoor games.
     Play Date’s hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30 am-7:00 p.m., Friday-Saturday 8:30 a.m.-10:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Due to licensing requirements, all children attend our facility on a flexible basis, and may stay for a maximum of four hours each day.

     NCGS 110-86 (2)(d) defines drop in or short term childcare as care for less than four hours, and is provided while parents participate in activities that are not employment related and where the parents are on the premises or otherwise easily accessible.
     The fees are $7/hour for the first child and $4/hour for each additional sibling.  Late fees will be applied when applicable:
    *$5 for every 15 minutes over stated pickup time
    *$10 for every 15 minutes over the 4 hour limit
    * $1 for every minute past closing

     Payment may be made by cash or Visa/Discover/Mastercard.  We can no longer accept checks.
     Play Date offers a time for morning and afternoon snacks as well as lunch and dinner.  Snacks are provided at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.  Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  For $4, we offer a choice of hot dog or grilled cheese, with apples slices, cheese stick, and some chips, or you may bring outside food for your child.  If you are bringing your child outside the lunch and dinner times, and they need to eat, please provide a meal for them and we will be happy to serve it.
     Children do not need to be potty trained.  Parents must provide extra clothes, and wipes and diapers/pull-ups.
     For the safety of your child, our staff members, and other children attending the facility, please send only healthy children to Play Date.  Please consider the following health guidelines before deciding to send your child to Play Date:
            *Temperature of 100.6 or higher
            * Nausea/vomiting
            *Red, watery eyes with cloudy or yellow drainage
            *Undiagnosed rash
            *Excessive phlegm cough and /or purulent nasal discharge
            *Sever sore throat
     Please keep your child home if any of these have been experienced within the last 24 hours.  Play Date reserves the right to refuse entry, or to discharge early, any child exhibiting any of the above symptoms.
     Play Date uses a discipline system that includes praise, positive reinforcement, and role modeling.  Time-out is used when necessary.  Play Date reserves the right to refuse admittance to any child whose continued presence compromises the safety and structure of our program.
These policies have been put in place in order to help ensure a safe and meaningful experience for your child.  I plan to utilize every opportunity to promote educational growth in a fun environment, and keep our program running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
